Webinar Attendance & Continuing Education Guidelines
Beyond the Boardroom is a free educational hosting platform created to provide accessible learning opportunities for Community Association Managers (CAMs) and Board Members.
We host educational sessions presented by industry professionals and approved course providers. Some are for CE credit and some are for educational purposes. “The more you learn, the more you earn.” ~ Warren Buffett
[Click here to watch why it’s harder to get in front of CAMs now more than ever… and find out what we’re doing to combat that!]
To maintain fairness, compliance, and efficiency, please carefully review the guidelines below.
What Beyond the Boardroom Is — and What It Isn’t
Beyond the Boardroom hosts educational sessions, but we do not:
• Present the educational content ourselves
• Decide whether a course qualifies for DBPR credit
• Act as a DBPR administrator or regulator
• Manage individual DBPR accounts
• Respond to individual questions about credit posting timelines
We provide the platform and scheduling for presenters to deliver approved education.
Because this is a free service and we operate additional businesses, we ask that all attendees carefully follow the procedures outlined below.
Before You Attend
To ensure your attendance can be submitted for credit (when applicable), please follow these steps:
1. Register in Advance
You must register for the Zoom session ahead of time.
Your registration allows us to verify eligibility and track attendance.
2. Attend the Full Session
You must remain in the Zoom session for the entire duration of the class.
Attendance is tracked automatically on the back end.
Partial attendance will not qualify, similar to a live classroom environment.
3. Participate During the Session
A participation code word will be shared multiple times during the Zoom presentation.
You must record this code word.
4. Submit the Post-Class Form Within 24 Hours
Within 24 hours of the session, you must complete the submission form and include the code word.
Submissions received after 24 hours cannot be accepted.
Important: Code Word Policy
The code word is required to verify participation.
• It will only be provided during the live Zoom session
• It will not be provided afterward
• There are no exceptions
This requirement ensures the session meets classroom-style verification standards.
After the Class
Once you have completed the steps above:
• Your attendance will be submitted to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) on behalf of the presenter (when applicable).
• Submissions are typically sent within one week of the class.
• Once submitted, DBPR controls when credit appears in your account.
Beyond the Boardroom cannot expedite, adjust, or control the DBPR credit posting timeline.
DBPR Credit Posting Timeline
Credit posting timelines are managed by the DBPR.
In some cases, credits may take several weeks or longer to appear in your DBPR account.
Please allow 30 days before contacting us regarding credit submission.
If you need assistance after that timeframe, the best course of action is to contact the DBPR directly.

CAM Continuing Education Requirements
Community Association Managers must complete 15 hours of continuing education every license renewal cycle through DBPR-approved courses.
Because credit posting timelines may vary, we strongly recommend planning your education well before your renewal deadline.
The new requirements for Community Association Managers (CAMs) managing Homeowners’ Associations (HOAs) include a 5-hour specific mandate related to HOA management. This requirement is part of the continuing education (CE) requirements for the 2024-2026 renewal cycle. CAMs must complete a total of 17 hours of CE, with the 5-hour specific to HOA management. This mandate ensures that CAMs are well-informed about the unique aspects of managing HOAs, including recordkeeping and other relevant topics.
